Conditions for operating grants

The municipality of Jämijärvi annually grants operating grants to local associations and organizations.

Grants can be applied for Registered associations and organizations operating in Jämijärvi, whose registered office is in Jämijärvi. Grants are awarded supporting youth, sports, cultural and leisure activities.

Applying for an operating grant

The application period is scheduled for the end of the year. The application period will be announced through the municipality's communication channels.

The application is completed electronically. The application link is open during the application period.Late applications will not be processed. The required attachments to the application are added to the attachments section at the end of the form.

Targeted grant conditions

The municipality of Jämijärvi annually grants targeted grants to local associations and organizations as well as unregistered action groups.

Grants can be applied for Registered associations and organizations as well as unregistered action groups operating in Jämijärvi, whose registered office is in Jämijärvi. Grants are awarded supporting youth, sports, cultural and leisure activities.

1. The activities must be open to everyone.
2. Granted at the discretion of the office holder to organize a one-time event or activity to be carried out in the year in question.

Targeted assistance is not granted:

1. For personal equipment purchases.
2. For regular advertising expenses.
3. The deductible portion of project financing.

The purpose of the grant cannot be changed afterwards and it can only be applied for in one industry at a time.

You can apply for targeted assistance all year round using an electronic form.

The goal of the municipality of Jämijärvi is to develop the vitality of the municipality and the well-being of its residents through events. The municipality supports the organization of events in Jämijärvi.

Procedure for event subsidies granted by the municipality

The municipality of Jämijärvi can support events financially or by providing other resources, such as areas and facilities, for use by events. The applicant for event support must be a registered association, company or community.

The decision on granting event subsidies is made by the mayor or municipal board in accordance with the provisions of the municipal administrative regulations.

There is no subjective right to event support, and when granting or refusing support, events, applications and fulfillment of the conditions for support are assessed on a case-by-case basis. For example, if the conditions are not met or the annual allocation has been used up, event support will not be granted in principle.

The supported event must

• be in accordance with general laws, regulations, guidelines and good practices
• be open to a wide audience
• support the vitality of Jämijärvi and the well-being of its residents
• promote Jämijärvi's positive public image and bring visibility to the municipality in various communication channels

The supported event may not

• causes harm to the residents of the area and not to the environment
• produces negative publicity for Jämijärvi

Not supported by transaction support

• usual association and other activities
• events organized for a narrow target group
• political or religious events
• events considered unethical

Applying for and reporting on event support

The application period for event support is continuous. Event support is applied for using an electronic form.

The applicant will be contacted for additional information if necessary. We aim to process grant applications as quickly as possible, but applicants should expect a processing time of 3–6 months, taking into account appeal periods and possible requests for additional information.

The applicant will be informed of the funding decision by email.

Event support will be paid to the account specified by the applicant after the support decision has become legally binding. The support must be used for the costs incurred in organizing the event. The costs must be verified with supporting documents upon request.

The Jämijärvi municipality logo must be visible in the event's communications and marketing. The logo version to be used and the municipality's visibility will be agreed with the event organizers on a case-by-case basis, and the event organizer must take the initiative in this matter.

The recipient of the support must report on the use of the support to the municipality of Jämijärvi using an electronic form within two months of the end of the event.

Event support may be fully or partially recovered if the event is cancelled, the implementation of the event deviates significantly from what was planned, the support has been misused, the use of the support has not been reported, or for other special reasons attributable to the event organizer.
