Basic education

Learning at a new school

Jämijärvi has approximately 180 comprehensive school students in grades 1–9. Basic education is organized in the Pääsky school center, completed in 2022, where the focus is on student well-being and nature is a central part of studying.

The classrooms and equipment are top-notch, up-to-date and modern. The school has a fantastic performance space and a 3D printer, among other things.

In addition to the principal and director of education, Pääsky has 11 teachers, three special education teachers, one resource teacher, five school attendance counselors, and five people in property and food service positions.

In Jämijärvi, school food is made in the production kitchen itself, which is why it is the best and tastiest in the country.
