Preschool and supplementary early childhood education

Preschool education is organized in Pääsky. The group includes preschool-aged children from Jämijärvi. The number of children varies annually.

The same premises also house supplementary early childhood education for preschool children, i.e. morning and afternoon care for preschool children. Preschool education is free of charge, but supplementary early childhood education is subject to a fee. The early childhood education fee is determined based on income and based on the Act on Early Childhood Education Client Fees (1503/2016).

In preschool education, the electronic communication channel Wilma is used for communication between home and preschool.

Preschool activities are based on the Jämijärvi preschool curriculum.

Parents of children who need supplementary early childhood education in addition to pre-school education bring their children to care and apply for care themselves. For children who only attend pre-school education, transportation is arranged if the distance is more than 3 km (such as for 1st–2nd graders of comprehensive school). Supplementary early childhood education cooperates with morning and afternoon activities.

Applications for supplementary early childhood education are made electronically through Daisy. Care appointments are also made through Daisy.
