Children and young people in Jämijärvi
Jämijärvi offers children and young people a safe and comfortable environment to grow, learn and do activities. The municipality has a variety of club and hobby opportunities, as well as the Cellari youth centre, which serves as a meeting place for leisure activities.
Outreach youth work supports young people in everyday issues and helps them find paths to education, work and meaningful activities. Sports facilities, the Pääsky school centre and various events offer activities all year round.
Jämijärvi operates Youth Council or NUVA, which offers young people a good channel to influence issues affecting them. All Jämijärvi residents aged 13–18 are welcome to join Jämijärvi Nuva!
