Exercise in Jämijärvi!
Jämijärvi offers a variety of opportunities for exercise all year round. The municipality's indoor sports facilities, the Pääsky sports hall and gym, and the Jämi Areena hall, are suitable for enthusiasts, clubs and fitness enthusiasts.
For those who enjoy outdoor activities, there are sports fields, local sports areas, ice rinks and the Jämi baseball field. Jämijärvi also has frisbee golf courses, ski trails, outdoor and cycling trails and pleasant beaches.
Getting around Jämijärvi is easy, close to nature and suitable for all ages – welcome to enjoy an active everyday life!
Indoor sports facilities

The Pääsky sports hall has basic equipment for many sports, sound system and data projector. Users clean up the sports equipment they borrow and put it in its correct place. The playing height is 7 m. There are toilets and showers in the changing room. Access to the hall is from the Pääsky front door E.
The hall can be booked through the facility booking service Asio. At Asio, the L1 block is the half of the hall on the locker room side, and the L2 block is the half of the hall on the sports equipment storage side.

The Pääsky gym has a wide range of high-quality exercise equipment. The changing room facilities have toilets and showers. Access to the gym is from the Pääsky front door E.
The gym is open every day from 5 am to 22 pm.
The gym can be crowded during school physical education classes and various physical education courses.
The guardian of a 12–14 year old child can apply for permission for the child's gym activity by email (jamijarvi@jamijarvi.fi). A 12–14 year old child can train in the gym in the presence of a guardian over 18 years of age. Both must redeem the gym access right.
For safety reasons, children under 12 years of age are not allowed in the gym.
You can apply for free gym access (pensioners, students, unemployed) from 5 am to 8 am from the municipal office by phone, email or by visiting the office.

The Jämi Areena sports hall allows for many different sports, such as floorball, volleyball and badminton. The size of the sports hall is 20 x 38 m and the height is 7 m. The space can be divided into two parts using a lowering wall. The arena has changing and washing facilities for 54 people and several toilets.

Outdoor sports facilities

The sports field, located in a beautiful location by the lake, is suitable for sports such as athletics, football and beach volleyball. The sports field has a sandy beach and a hut with a campfire site.

The Pääsky local sports area has a fitness track, fitness stairs, a large and small ice rink, a sand court, a basketball hoop, the Pääsky DiscGolfPark frisbee golf course, an outdoor gym, a mini stadium and a panna arena. The local sports area also has a barbecue shelter. The rinks have an asphalt surface, and the mini stadium and panna arena have artificial turf.
The large ice rink and mini stadium are frozen in winter, and the fitness track has a cross-country ski trail. The school and daycare play areas are freely available outside of school and childcare hours.

The large rink and mini stadium at the Pääsky local sports area are frozen in winter. The fields are floodlit. The large rink has hockey goals, and the use of sticks is allowed. The mini stadium is intended especially for the smallest skaters, and the use of sticks is prohibited.

Jämijärvi has three frisbee golf courses, one of which is owned and maintained by the municipality. It is located in the center at the Pääsky local sports area.
Jämi has a full-length 18-hole course, classified as AAA1 class and the best A group, as well as a 9-hole family course.

The Pääsky Frisbee Golf Course has five fairways. The first teeing ground is next to the K-Market Jämijärvi parking lot.

The Jämi ridge landscapes have dozens of kilometers of well-maintained trails. You can ski with your dogs on the dog track.

In the Jämi of Hämeenkangas, there are several outdoor trails maintained by Metsähallitus.
Mountain biking

The Geobike Hämeenkangas mountain bike trail starts from Jämi, leading to the area's finest natural attractions. The Pirkan ura trail serves as a cycling trail when there is no snow.
There are also many other small roads and trails crisscrossing the Hämeenkangas terrain, along which everyone can cycle, taking into account the Defence Forces' training activities.
Hämeenkangas' easy-to-navigate needle paths and forest roads are suitable for cyclists of all ages and levels.
Touring cycling

The Jämijärvi Tour cycling route, which is 37 km long, starts from Jämijärvi Market Square. You can also choose to follow either the western or eastern section of the route. The route runs partly on permanently paved roads, partly on gravel roads.
The 176 km long Geopark route Satakunta Touring Cycling Route also passes through Jämijärvi Market Square, which takes you along the quiet village roads of North Satakunta to, among other places, the area's national parks.
At Jämijärvi Market Square, there are information boards about the Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas UNESCO Global Geopark and a bicycle service station that is freely available.
The 169 km long Kyrö route of Pirkanmaa's extensive touring cycling route, Järvien Reitit, also deviates to the Satakunta side at Jämijärvi.

Jämi has a rock ash-covered baseball field, which is also used a lot at dog shows and other dog events.

The ski tunnel is surrounded by an asphalt-paved roller skiing and skating track, Jämin mile (1,6 km).
Beaches

The sports field's swimming beach has a sandy beach, a pier, changing rooms, toilets and a lean-to with campfire sites.
There is no swimming supervision on the beach. Jumping from the pier is prohibited.

Mielahti beach has soft sand. The water is shallow near the beach, so Mielahti is also suitable for swimming and beach games for the youngest members of the family. However, swimmers should note that the water deepens quickly after the shallow section.
There is a barbecue shelter in Mielahti, but there is no firewood supply. There is a changing room and a dry toilet on the beach.
There is no swimming supervision on the beach. Jumping from the pier is prohibited.

The beach at Jämi Perhepuisto area has soft sand and clear groundwater.
The swimming pond is especially popular with families with children. The pond has shallow shore areas that are very suitable for children. Swimmers should note that the water gets deep quickly in parts of the pond. There is a changing room and a dry toilet on the shore.
There is no lifeguard on duty at the beach.
