In addition to the statutory inspection board and the central election board, Jämijärvi has an education board and a technical board. The youth council has a representative and a deputy representative on the education board and the technical board.
The boards operate under the authority of the municipal government. Each board is responsible for the tasks specified in the municipal administrative regulations and for organizing the services in its field.
