Join the Jämijärvi Society's guided local hike "The Humming of Hämeenkangas" on Saturday, September 19.09th at 11 am to Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas Geopark.
During the hike, the guide will talk about the geology, cultural history, forest use and ecology of the dry, barren, cottonwood forests. Our guide is Doctor of Philosophy, biologist and nature professor Hannu Raitio, who has a long career in forest sciences. The hike is free. Departure from Reima Country hut at 11 am We take a tractor ride from Korsuretkie to Koivistonvadi and from there we hike back. The trip lasts about 3 hours. The distance is about 5 kilometers. Bring a snack, although you can buy snacks at the lean-tos in between. At the same time, the autumn outdoor event Lean-to Tour is going on in Jämmi, which also includes this trip.
