Sulanmaan Mini Distance is a special competition, where the 7,8km route is driven 4 times in 10 hours. The weight of the competition equipment is determined by the number of dogs used. The load pulled by each dog is at least 25kg. You can follow the starts and finishes of the competition from near the airport. The competitions often also include a costume competition, meaning the competitors and carts may look slightly different than in regular dog sled races!
