Potatoes are a very versatile, affordable and nutritious part of the Finnish diet, which offers variety to the kitchen all year round. They are not only a domestic pillar of food security, but also a valuable source of carbohydrates, which contains potassium, vitamin C and fiber. Which variety is best for what? With the guidance of Hämeen-Pirkanmaa's household expert Marja Vehnämaa, we will cook all the good things about potatoes at the Pääsky teaching kitchen (Koulutie 6, Jämijärvi) for a Friday evening meal. We will make both sweet and savory dishes. There is room for 12 course participants, the course costs 20 euros. Duration approx. 3 hours. To register, please message 040 7663 663, you will receive a confirmation whether you were able to join. Please also let us know if you follow a special diet or have any food allergies. Course participants will be photographed for the marketing of the Jämijärvi Society and for the purpose of recording the project, so photography permission is mandatory!
