Above the rush

The tourist center of Lake Jämijärvi is Jämi, which is a treasure trove for nature lovers and enthusiasts of many different sports. The history of Jämi began in 1935, when a gliding school was established in Jämi. Today, Jämi is Finland's busiest and most diverse center for recreational aviation.

Jämi offers hiking and cycling routes on the Hämeenkangas needle trails, the best ski trails in southern Finland in snowy ridge landscapes, activities on land, in the water and in the air, and relaxed events all year round.
